July is shaping up to be a busy month.
First, many thanks to Steven G. Fullwood, librarian and archivist at the
Schomburg Library in New York City; he moderated
a very insightful panel on June 27, 2006 about black LGBT publishing. Panelists were Colin Robinson (Other Countries Collective member, former executive director of the
New York State Black Gay Network), Charlene Cothran (publisher of
Venus magazine) and yours truly,
Lisa C. Moore.
On Thursday, July 13, 2006, 2-3:30 p.m., I'm participating in the plenary session of the
10th annual National Black Religious Summit on Sexuality, to be held at Howard University School of Divinity, 1400 Shepherd St. NE in Washington, DC. The session is called "Exodus of Hope: Sexual Orientation, Sexual Identity, and the Black Church."
