Ernest Hardy and Mark Bradford in the Bay Area, March 31, 2012

Ernest Hardy goes deep—again! Visual artist Mark Bradford, in conversation with writers Ernest Hardy (Blood Beats: Vol. 1 and 2, RedBone Press) and Sue Bell Yank, will discuss the conceptual framework behind Bradford's piece from the U.S. biennial in New Orleans—the ark, titled Mithra—and how it relates to the examination of cultural regeneration within a post-disaster urban environment (specifically, New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina). Free with gallery admission to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, 701 Mission St. at Third, San Francisco, CA, 2 p.m. March 31, 2012. Co-sponsored by the YBCA and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Come hear brilliance!
