NBJC co-sponsors Spirited signing
The next reading and signing for Spirited: Affirming the Soul and Black Gay/Lesbian Identity will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at Vertigo Books, 7346 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD, 20740; 301-779-9300 phone. This event is co-sponsored by the National Black Justice Coalition, along with Baltimore Black Pride, The Portal, Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore and the Marylanders of Color Collective of Equality Maryland. Contributors reading include Herndon L. Davis, Clarence J. Fluker, Dorothy Harris, G. Winston James, Tonya Parker and H.L. Sudler.
Coming up are Spirited events in Chicago (Oct. 14); Philadelphia (Oct. 21); Oakland (October 28); Atlanta (Nov. 3); and Memphis, TN (Nov. 11-12 weekend). We're also working on a reading in Charlotte, NC. Stay tuned!
