RedBone author is 2006 Lammy finalist! And Urban Spectrum Award winner!
The Lambda Literary Foundation announced its finalists for the 18th annual Lambda Literary Awards on March 3, 2006. And Samiya Bashir's Where the Apple Falls is a 2005 finalist for the Lesbian Poetry category! And Urban Spectrum newspaper in Colorado has declared Where the Apple Falls the national best book of poetry by an SGL poet (see here). We're so proud!
